Reviewing and confirming
The draft is the board's work. The confirm is yours. This page covers the entry drawer, editing a number, and reading the QC findings.
The entry drawer
Open an entry and the collapsed view shows Account, Debit, Credit, with the full detail (class, department, memo, document number, derivation) behind the edge arrow. Attached files sit on the entry with their provenance, and any hold or flag the reader raised is shown where you cannot miss it.
Editing an amount
Click a number, type what it should be. The board computes the adjustment from your target and folds it into the account's row, with the original figure printed underneath. The underlying record is never edited in place: every change is an adjustment in its own layer, so the posted history stays intact and the trail shows both the before and the after.
Where more than one account could take the other side of your change, the row opens a picker instead of choosing for you. Ambiguity is a question, not a guess.
The QC findings
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| TIED | Checked against an independent reading and it agrees, to the penny. |
| CHECK | Something is worth a controller's eye. The finding names it. |
| OPEN | The rule cannot conclude without a named missing artifact. |
| NOT COVERED | No rule covers this yet, and the board says so instead of staying quiet. |
Rules check that debits equal credits, that the detail ties to the ledger's own total for the transaction, and that the period balances as a whole. Unknown is never rounded up to fine, and a finding computed against an older version of the entry renders as stale rather than pretending it still applies.
The AI drafts. A human confirms. Nothing posts to the ledger on its own. Everything on this page tightens attention on that rule; nothing replaces it.
